Ohara School
The Ohara School was founded in the late nineteenth century when Japan was opened to the influence of Western culture. Unsjin Ohara, our founder, created the Moribana Style, which later led to the School's introduction of the Landscape Arrangement. Since then, the School has been on the cutting edge of ikebana development and educational excellence.
Meetings & Workshops
Meetings and workshops are held the third Saturday of each month with top masters of the chapter teaching the Ohara School curriculum to beginners as well as advanced students. Members are encouraged to bring visitors and guests to participate in the workshops with an advanced reservation. Materials and containers can be arranged in advance when needed. There is a visitor's fee for participation plus materials. We welcome first time auditors and there is no charge for them; however, advanced notice is appreciated.
