Chapter Celebrations

Annually we gather to salute the New Year with a festive party at a beautiful location with family and invited guests. We enjoy a festive meal and a champagne toast to the history of the Chapter and to its continued success

Chapter Exhibitions

Every eighteen months to alternate the seasons we have a formal exhibition. All members are encouraged to exhibit so that they gain confidence in another area of ikebana accomplishment. The concentration and hard work atmosphere turns later into a real time of friendship and sharing of bento boxes and a party atmosphere. This happy mode is carried throughout the weekend as guests, family, and friends are welcomed to the dignity of the exhibit space. Several of our members also demonstrate throughout the days for guests who discover what it is like to construct an elegant arrangement. Arrangements are made from the back so that guests can imagine what it would look like if they were actually placing the flowers themselves.

Chapter Workshops

The 3rd Saturday of each month the Chapter meets for workshops covering the Ohara curriculum led by top level instructors. Workshops are open to guests who call the workshop chair a week in advance for reservations. Materials and containers may be arranged with the reservations.
